AI-Based Bed-Driven Patient Monitoring System
Project Description
The AI-Based Bed-Driven Patient Monitoring System is designed to monitor a patient’s condition while they are on a hospital bed. Continuous patient monitoring is important, especially for elderly or bedridden patients. This system uses basic sensors placed on or near the bed to track patient activity and health status.
In this system, data such as patient movement, body position, bed occupancy, and basic vital signs (like heart rate or body temperature) are collected. The AI analyzes this data to detect situations such as long inactivity, frequent movement, or abnormal patterns.
If unusual activity is detected, the system can alert medical staff or caretakers. This helps in preventing risks such as bed falls, pressure ulcers, or delayed medical attention. The project is intended for basic monitoring and learning purposes and is suitable for college-level AI and healthcare projects.
